How Many Games Will Kylian Mbappe Miss for Real Madrid With a Calf Injury?

Real Madrid's star forward, Kylian Mbappé, has encountered yet another injury setback, this time in the form of a calf hematoma. This injury was sustained during Real Madrid's 1–0 defeat to Espanyol, adding to the club's growing list of concerns.

Head coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Mbappé will be sidelined for the upcoming games. With an action-packed schedule ahead, including crucial matches against Atlético Madrid and Manchester City, this injury comes at a particularly inconvenient time. Ancelotti highlighted that the injury was a direct result of a rough tackle by Espanyol's Carlos Romero, who surprisingly was only shown a yellow card for the challenge.

After the loss to Espanyol, Mbappé attempted to recover by taking an additional day off to rest. However, despite these efforts, he has been deemed unfit to play, joining an already extensive injury list at Real Madrid which includes notable players like Dani Carvajal, Éder Militão, Eduardo Camavinga, Antonio Rüdiger, and David Alaba.

The good news for Real Madrid fans is that Mbappé's injury, unlike some of his teammates', is not expected to sideline him for an extended period. A calf hematoma, while painful and requiring careful management, typically has a quicker recovery time compared to more severe muscle or ligament injuries.

While the exact number of games Mbappé will miss hasn't been specified, the expectation is that he will likely miss just one match for Real Madrid. This would mean he could potentially return for the Madrid derby against Atlético Madrid. With Real Madrid's schedule packed with significant fixtures, every player's availability is crucial, and fans will be hopeful for a swift recovery for one of their key attackers.
